Mung bean plant usually consumed with boiled and then eaten directly after boiling, or used as a green bean porridge. Many people who eat green beans with the material used to fill other snacks like onde-onde, gandasturi, bun, and some are made food with mung bean flour, also called by the name hunk-we flour used to manufacture various types of traditional cakes, ice cream and soun noodles.

- Vitamin C content in mung bean plant is useful as an antioxidant for the body to help ward off free radicals in the body so it is useful for slowing the aging process, minimize cancer, and others disease.
