Burdock tea is tea made from roots or leaves of Burdock (Arctium lappa) and has been used as a medicinal herb in traditional Chinese  as herbal medicine since middle ages. Besides burdock tea has also been used for a variety of dishes such as soups, and additional seasonings in broth, and other dishes, especially in Japan.

Burdock tea is a diuretic which helps to purify the blood and sweat. And therefore burdock tea is also known as blood purifier that helps the detoxification process in the body which help remove toxins in the body thereby increasing the body’s immune against various diseases

Benefits of burdock tea

Because the nutrient content in a variety of burdock tea, then in addition as a remedy for the detoxification there are many other health benefits of tea burdock on the human body and some of them as below.

Burdock leaves are made into tea burdock useful to improve the health of the stomach, to treat disorders that occur in digestion, treat bladder pain, treating genitourinary, rheumatism, jaundice, hepatitis, and bile secretion.

Burdock tea made from roots and leaves is effective cleanser for the liver, as a stimulator, neutralize and eliminate toxins in the body, treating diseases associated with respiratory diseases like asthma, fever, cancer, and rheumatic pain in the pelvis.

Burdock tea is also used for external treatment such as treating diseases associated with skin like scabies, eczema, boils, swollen, scaly skin, and ulcers, relieve bruises and other injuries that occur on the skin. Burdock tea is used externally to treat acne, and stimulates hair growth

Ways  to make It

Burdock tea can be obtained easily by buying burdock herbal tea in stores or online websites that sell burdock tea, but if you want to spend your time then you can make your own  burdock tea and the way is as follows:

– Take burdock root fresh and clean by using the blunt of the blade, or to the roots of the old burdock clean by using clean cloth.

– The roots are cut into small burdock with about 2 tablespoons of the results and then inserted into the small stainless pot filled with 3 cups of water and then boil for about 30 minutes

– After the water boiled and pour the burdock water into a glass and drink as burdock tea

– And if using burdock tea from the dried burdock root the way by mixing 1 teaspoon of dried the burdock root into a cup of water and boil about 10 to 15 minutes. And because burdock  is diuretic, so burdock tea shouldn’t drink over but  be consumed at most 3 times a day.
